Sunscreen Review: Alpha-H Daily Essential Moisturiser SPF50+
If you’re looking for a sunscreen with an elegant but lightweight moisturiser texture, Alpha-H’s Daily Essential Moisturiser SPF50+ might be for you.
Inclusivity:
It becomes clear as it absorbs into skin and manyyyy reviews on Beautyheaven, Adore Beauty, and Cult Beauty insist there is no white cast, even on deep skintones.
Makeup Compatibility:
Daily Essential Moisturiser SPF50+ absorbs into skin almost exactly like a moisturiser would, so it’s fabulous under makeup. Not heavy at all!
This photo was taken with flash – you can see there’s no flashback, and swipe for one taken in daylight.
Base makeup works best with a grippy primer to keep it in place though, and it reapplies over makeup nicely with a dry velour sponge.

Alpha-H Daily Essential Moisturiser SPF50+ was my go-to sunscreen for a while (before I was a ~skinfluencer) and writing this review reminded me why! You can buy it at Adore Beauty (Australia) here or Cult Beauty (rest of world) here.
Finally, a word on “SPF Moisturisers”
In Australia, so long as it has an AUST-L, it’s a sunscreen.
If you use *enough* ie. at least 1/4tsp for face or 1/2tsp for face neck and ears, you’re set.
Alpha-H Daily Essential Moisturiser SPF50+ was provided to me as a PR Sample. Read my disclosure policy here.
